fruitboots

Apparently Steve might be grouchy over the lack of new posts, but mamma likes to collect comments, and that last post was a good comment getter. So this post is to appease his needs. Also, it is to appease my need for the new Human Giant season 1 dvd that comes out on tuesday.

Ryan, I know that you spent countless hours on blades back in the day, so please just tell me one thing. How bad did that conversation with your parents suck? that must have been brutal.
love,
matthew

Fav Pic of The Week

May I present to you, BOOT STOOL, the new Fav Pic of the Week and newest member of the brown family. This suns fan comes complete with an old t-shirt for a seat cushion, purple mesh shorts, pastey white legs with socks and shoes. He is creepier in real life than in print and was a gift from our two favorite Argentines. He is perfect for placing in poorly light corners of your home and scaring your spouse everytime she turns a corner at night because there is a sad child who has broken into your home and placed themselves in time out.

Shaq-Fu?

For those who don't know, we are pure bread Phoenix Suns fans in this house. And part of being a lifelong fan of any team means that at one time or another you will end up seeing some questionable characters suit up in your team's uniform (Danny Ainge, Oliver Miller, Jerrod Mustaff, etc.). But this one beats all. I never thought that I'd see the day when Shaq-Diesel himself would suit up in the purple and orange. Yes, Shaquille O'neal will most likely be a Phoenix Sun by the end of the day, and we in the Brown household are still trying to recover from the shock. At this point, I am weighing all of the pro's and con's, but I still don't know what to make of it. So until the dust settles and we see how this all works out, here's hoping that the trade re-ignites Shaq's passion for the arts, and that he drops another round of rap albums, video games, and genie-themed movies.

p.s. - A big thanks goes out to Shawn Marion; aka the Matrix, who up until being traded to Miami today, had spent 9 glorious years as a Suns star. Here's a picture from a few years back of Ryan, Marion, and I all celebrating life. Thanks Shawn.
