It's Official

I was not intending for my last post to be any kind of announcement, I will let this series of photos do the announcing.

Matthew got me a sewing machine for Christmas and I have been busy at work.

Making Bobby pillow slip covers, yes these required me to sew in a zipper(on a curve!) which I accomplished WITHOUT the supervision of my mother and am now elevating my status from beginner to intermediate sewer.
sewing the tiniest shoes

enlarging the photos may put my intermediate status on shaky ground due to my questionable craftsmanship, perhaps Beginner with Promise is a more appropriate title.

and this little onesie, for our baby girl who is scheduled to arrive June 4.

you put the zipper in?? You've been hiding your talent from me... This post may incite me to buy our plane tickets NOW. I can't wait to start creating with you. and please send more details of the machine.

Your baby stuff is darling! Congrats! I am so excited for you guys, not that I know what it is like to be a mom or anything...but I'm still excited for you two!

Congratulations on both the baby and the machine!

I love those shoes, and must find out how to make some. Poor Adeline has gone barefoot for the better part of her life. Poor third child.

I'm highly impressed with your sewing skills! I just learned how to sew a straight line and thought I was pretty hot stuff.
